Join us on April 27th for Undrowning: A Black Breath Experience participants will be led into the sacred breath and body to access the most radical parts of their imagination.
In this 3-part experiential series, we will explore our breath as a practice and our bodies as the portal and pathway to the imagination. We will redirect our attention from the white-centered intellectual imagination to the womb of creativity. Participants will leave with tools and practices to initiate transformation in their lives and organizations through collective ancestral body wisdom and their individual breath. Over the course of Undrowning: The Black Breath Experience, we will explore classic and modern Black feminist wisdom text from scholars, poets, and practitioners such as Audre Lorde, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, Octavia E. Butler, Prentis Hemphill, Tracee Stanley, and Octavia Raheem to anchor our bodies in our breath and remind us “there’s more than one way to breathe.”
